LTV Steel owns 100% of the capital stock of six terminal switching railroad companies, all of which are common carriers subject to regulation by the Surface Transportation Board.

Considerable tonnage is handled by these railroads -- both inbound and outbound. They also provide in-plant rail services for efficient movement of materials.
