Semi-Processed Products
LTV's semi-processed electrical steel products are manufactured to meet
a wide range of customer core loss, permeability and thickness requirements.
Semi-processed material must be annealed to develop the full magnetic
properties. A summary of LTV's capabilities by type is listed below.

* Epstein samples are annealed prior to magnetic testing. Samples are
annealed at 1450ºF in a hydrogen-nitrogen atmosphere with a plus 50/55ºF
dew point in the furnace. Testing is conducted at 1.5T and 60 Hz.
Fully-Processed Products
LTV has developed several fully-processed carbon motor lamination grades.
The advantage of fully-processed is the material does not require any
heat treatment. Applications for fully-processed electrical steel include
small electric motors, generators, fans, relays and power tools. All fully-processed
requirements are subject to inquiry.
